Something is definatly wrong with me. Somehow the fact that I spelled "definatly" out instead of abbriviating it (like I normally do) should be everyone's first clue.

I can't sleep at night for one thing. So I'm tired all the time, and no one understands why because "... you aren't working, why on Earth would you be tired???" Ugh. I feel like I've become irritating in some way that eludes me. A few of my friends have very randomly stopped talking to me or even making eye contact. Not friends I'm crazy about or anything, it's just odd. My good friends are still acting the same.

I keep doing special favors for people and running all over town to help them get things done that they can't do because they're working, and I'm using lots of gas and money to help. I believe in the projects, so that isn't the issue. The problem is that I'm doing stuff for others to the point of exhaustion. Yesterday I had a "fall out," which is what I call "running too much, not sleeping and not eating right to the point of getting all shakey and crying." Hasn't happened in a really long time, so I tried to chill a little more today. Still worn out. I need to watch Amadeus. That movie is so long that I can get a good rest in while watching it.

I keep forgetting important stuff, too. I had a late credit card payment, a first for me. The worst though is that I forgot Tera's birthday. I was bummed all day about that one. I mean, unconsolable. So Tera, if you're reading this, I'm so sorry. I now wish you a very, very happy birthday and may all your dreams come true. A little cliche, but that's what any card would have said if I got you one.

Sometimes I wonder if I have done something wrong to the point of being beyond redemption. So many bad things keep happening. I woke up crying from the worst nightmare I've had in years on Thanksgiving morning. It was about my family being completely ripped apart. I woke up and cried for a long time, went back to sleep and had an even worse dream. My body was so tired it tried to sleep again. But I could sense another bad dream coming and I woke myself up and stayed up the whole morning reading. I feel like something dark is coming for me.

At many times in our lives, we have cycles. Good, then bad, then back to good again. My bad cycle seems to be lasting a lot longer this time. But if the good outweighs the bad (and I ultimately believe that it does,) then I have to have patience and wait for the good again. And if I truly believe what I just said, then I have to be willing to wait and in the meantime, do all I can to make good happen in the lives of others.

How things work in the real world

I've been told my whole life about how there are two ways that things work:

1. The way things go in my head

and

2. The way things work in the real world

The way things go in my head seem far more realistic, I guess. In my head, I'd like to think I'm a good person, hard working and caring. I want to think that's how other people think of me too, but yesterday, we see how the real world thinks of me. It was the day to celebrate Halloween at work and I was pretty excited. I dressed up like Alex from "A Clockwork Orange" and about six people actually knew who I was! The rest thought I was Charlie Chaplin from some reason . . . . retards.

So it was fun, hanging out and looking at all the other costumes and such. Goofed around a lot all day, got lots of candies from people, etc. At the end of the day, I got a call from the HR department who asked me if I could come downstairs for a second. No prob, I wasn't busy. I go downstairs and there is my supervisor sitting with Bob, the HR director. They ask me to shut the door and have a seat. I do. They immediately tell me that they are "terminating the employer relationship." WTF?!?!?! So I'm fired from my job. They told me it was due to "not meeting company standards." In other words, being on time everyday, getting my work done with no help and answering the phones more than anyone in my department counted for absolutely nothing over the last 14 months. They were like, "You're not a bad person and we think you did the best you could, but this job just isn't a good fit for you." They told me I was eligible for unemployment and that they wished me a lot of luck and that I could visit anytime. I said I'd come in Monday for my things and they said no, I had to get them today. They made me wait in the office with them until everyone left, then I had to get my things and leave. They watched me get my stuff like I was a convict, making sure I wasn't stealing anything. Cocksuckers.

Then I walked out and cried and cried most of the day. In my mind, I was doing the best I could, but in the real world that didn't matter. Makes me wonder which is right. I have to fit the standards of the world in order to succeed in the workplace and such, but those standards don't make sense to me. Somedays that makes me feel confused. Which is correct? I sought advice from a friend. I told him that my family cast a pretty big shadow. My dad has noy had very many jobs, and kept each of them until the places closed down. He worked hard his whole life and never got in trouble. At his last job he was given no sick or personal time, thus he never missed a day. EVER. He left early the day I was born, that was it. So here I am, getting fired from jobs more than once, and quitting the ones that were truly awful. My dad didn't have these problems, so I feel like a loser from struggling so hard. I really do.

I really thought that I'd be further than this at 24. I did! But I guess Tyler Durden was right. The media makes things look like our lives will ultimately end up with some sort of fame and fortune, but it's unlikely. That's how things work in the real world. In my head, I'd love to be a famous writer; that's been my dream since I was 14. Ten years later, I still want that. How can I make it happen? In my mind it doesn't seem hard, but the real world tries daily to kill the dream.

I guess some advice would be in order. I need real world advice, but also advice from the heart. Do you think you'll get what your heart desires? Can it happen if I work hard enough to make it happen? I think so. Because if I don't believe in it, the real world wins. And my sanity cannot handle such a thing.

I am so angry at my friend right now *icon relevant*

I have exactly one girl friend. All the rest of my friends are guys. I always cherished that about our friendship, the fact that she was the only one who was not only a girl, but understood that I'm not really a "conventional" girl (no makeup 98% of the time, I don't carry a purse, I dress sort of guy-ish, etc) and that she really "got" me and my strange sense of humor. I'd had a good girl friend before, but we had a falling out. We made up and everything seemed back to normal, and when she went to college she never spoke to me again. I was heartbroken.

Over the years, we have confided a lot with each other about things we (literally) never told anyone else. So last week I told her something very, very personal that was bothering me because I knew I could trust her. WRONG. At 9am this morning, I got a phone call from an unknown number. It was my friend's mom. She was like, "I need to talk to you about something serious. Do you have a minute?"

I told her I was at work but I had a minute if it was something serious. She then proceeds to tell me about how my friend told her all my problems and she wanted to talk to me about them. I was livid. I told her I was taking care of it and I didn't want to talk to her about it. She kept insisting in a passive aggressive way that I answer her questions, and I told her NO WAY. So at the end of the most uncomfortable phonecall ever, she commented, "Maybe I handled this the wrong way." Then she told me she loved me. OMG.

So if I seem a little tense, it's because NOTHING in my life is going right at the moment. I am so ticked I can't stand it. How should I handle this? I could really use some advice right now.

Almost a year, wow!

It's been almost a year since my last post, and that got me thinking. Had I nothing worth writing about? How bizarre that I would even think that. This has been, by far, the most interesting year of my life! It has yielded some amazing things in the realm of creativity. So here's a month-by-month run-down of everything I've failed to mention:

JANUARY 2008: As a favor to BranMan, I went to Jimmy's house for the first time for the original Gavin S photoshoot for his movie, "Friends With Benefits." He had me playing the girlfriend of Jimmy's character and, because he and I are both into filmmaking, wanted the two of us to write, film and edit promotional material for his new movie. I didn't realize then that me and Jimmy would end up being such good friends a year later. This is, single-handedly, the most influential thing that could have happened to make my life the way it is now. Through Jimmy, I met every friend I have now. He is also the reason I was able to make my movie and enjoy writing and acting again. Brandon's simple request that I do a photoshoot changed my entire life. I also got hired at Walgreens this month, which to this day is the best job I ever had.

FEBRUARY: Not much happened this month that I can recall. While nothing of great importance took place, one of my favorite stories to tell happened. Me and Cody were at Red Lobster and we saw.....well, this story wouldn't translate well over the internet. Anyone who wants to hear it just let me know. This goes down in history for me as most uncomfortable observation ever.

MARCH: Formulated the idea and began the script for "Goth and the City." Did a few very general castings, nothing too crazy. I was also privy to be in the test audience for Jimmy's movie, "Gunther Toody's Happy Time Fun Show." Seeing that movie changed the way I thought about filmmaking forever.

APRIL: My birthday and Cody's! We had a joint birthday party and invited my new friends. I asked everyone who was invited to please ask if they wanted to bring a guest. Jimmy, without asking, brought Billy. I was a little peeved at first, but me and Billy ended up being best friends after just a few short months.

MAY: The new Indiana Jones movie came out!!!! I'd waited for years and was happy with the outcome <333 It wasn't as good as "The Last Crusade," but I still left the theater happy. GRADUATED COLLEGE! w00t!!!!!!!

JUNE: The first shots of "Goth and the City" are completed.

JULY: Instead of fireworks, me and Cody walked up and down the street stringing for everyone.

AUGUST: Jimmy's movie premier. Had a freakin' blast! He put me in charge of being photographer of the event.

SEPTEMBER: Lots of filming. Started new job that I don't like nearly as much so I can work full-time. Not much fun growing up :p

OCTOBER: Finished my Silent Hill costumes for the Con I didn't even get to go to, so me and my friends dressed up and wore them to the Halloween Festival at the Zoo. The event was for children, so you can imagine the stir we caused. We were nearly kicked out!

NOVEMBER: My nephew is born and Thanksgiving doesn't suck for the first time in at least ten years.

DECEMBER: My family finally has a Christmas where everyone doesn't fight, everyone gets what they want, and a generally good time is had by all.

Pretty good year! I hope this year is great too and I'm sure it will be. I have a movie premier of my own to look forward to and for the first time in years, good friends I can trust.

I had a dream last night that I had kinky, freaky, promiscuous sex with Malcolm McDowell. Not how he looks now though. How he looked in A Clockwork Orange, or Caligula. Not with his character but with him, just looking like himself from a long time ago. It was weird. We were at apartment working on something and he had friends there too, and all of a sudden in front of everyone he just grabs me, starts kissing me, and we have sex in front of them. It's odd because that's not something I'd do in real life, but still, that was a freakin' hot dream. Man, I'm horny.

It made me really happy to have a dream like that because most of my dreams are nightmares that take place at the end of time. I'm like, living in someone's basement and can't find food and can't make noise because then someone will find me and kill me. I tend to be a happy person who is generally optimistic, but there is an undeniable dark part of myself. And I can't deny that I love that part of me dearly. All of my poetry, stories, and most of my interests stem from the fact that I am very dark. But I enjoy being happy and I am most of the time. I am realitstic to a fault and that's where some of the darkness comes from. That's probably why my so-called "Goth-phase" has lasted ten years.

But because I do like to be happy, I am grateful to have discovered the rave scene. I like how the people all love each other and care for one another. Raver friends tend to be genuine and I LOVE that trait in people. The music had a steady beat and that to me represents balance. And when I'm sad or upset, techno music in general screams a little louder than my pain does. Pop music says, "Everything is okay." Rock music says, "Everything is certainly not okay, but you can change it." Techno says, "Let's try not to think about being sad for a while and have a good time!" And that's why I like it. I can't change everything, but I can try to have fun once in a while : )

I realize that I jumped around a lot today, but it needed to be said. And until the day I can drown my sorrows in some good beats and string to my heart's content, there's always . . . .

. . . . . Malcolm.

So me and my boyfriend had a really fun weekend together. Here's what we did:

Friday we just hung out and cuddled, ate pizza and watched I Eat Poop (my friend's cable access show.) Saturday while I was at work he went shooting and then met up with me at my house. I had to go submit some of my pictures and get posters made from them for my friend Brandon. He's making a movie and we needed some posters made and figured I'd help him by getting him my discount :)

My boyfriend noticed that we had JOLT on sale there at work. I kept making bad jokes, asking if it was V-Jolt from Resident Evil. Video game humor. I'm so lame. So I used my discount and we bought two. Boy, was that fun. We split one and drank it on an empty stomach. I have never in my life been so wired! It's the closest I've ever been to being hopped up on cocaine in my life. The radio played "Renegades of Funk" and I started dancing in the car. I felt like I was dancing really good, but of course, I probably wasn't, haha. I was singing really loud too. T'was quite fun. Then he found a cd in his car of Angel One music and popped it in his CD player. It never sounded so good! We went to Book and Music Exchange and walked around for what seemed like forever, trying to get it out of our systems. Went cam back to my house and watched Constantine which I'd never seen. That was pretty cool. I kept getting scared because my heart felt like it was gonna beat out of my chest even when I was sitting still. Nevertheless, I can't wait until next weekend to drink the other can, maybe we'll try to down two of them : )

Forget making Salvia illegal, they should investigate Jolt first, haha.

I'M SO FREAKING EXCITED!!! I could be going to my first real show soon! My friend Mika's friend organized a big show at Bulldog Cafe that went over very well, and now he's trying to get one together at a bigger venue. And trust me, I'll be there. And I will post all kinds of pics! Man, I can't wait!
